In 2023, I started working as an individual urushi artist, moving my base of activities from Tokyo to the Okukuji region, Ibaraki Prefecture. Living in a land where urushi trees are planted, I am going to work on my artwork while thinking about what I can do for the future of Japanese urushi culture.

2023年6月、茨城県常陸大宮市諸沢にある築約150年の民家を譲り受け、漆の工房を開きました。作品の制作とあわせて、漆生産地の未来に繋がる活動を進めていきます。
